Trip Summary
Pattaya is a popular beach resort in the Gulf of Thailand, just 147 km (approx. 2 hours’ drive) southeast of Bangkok. Local authorities have, in recent years, improved the quality of the beaches and reinvented the resort as a more family-friendly destination.
Coral Island ( Koh Larn) lies about 7.5 kilometres off of Pattaya by a 45-minute ferry or 15 minutes by speed Boat ride, the Island measures 2 kilometres by 5 kilometres and offers several white sandy beaches, This Island offers several white sandy beaches such as notably Hat Ta Waen, Hat Laem Thian and Hat Thong Long while there are a bunch of coral reefs on the other side of the island. Visitors can choose either snorkeling or viewing the coral from glass bottom boat.
The Golden Buddha, officially titled Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakon is a gold Maravijaya Attitude seated Buddharupa statue, with a weight of 5.5 tonnes (5,500 kilograms). According to another account, the statue measures 3.91 meters from base to top, and 3.10 meters across the lap from knee to knee. At one point in its history, the statue was covered with a layer of stucco and coloured glass to conceal its true value, and it remained in this condition for almost 200 years, ending up as what was then a pagoda of minor significance. During relocation of the statue in 1955, the plaster was chipped off and the gold revealed. It is made in the Sukhothai Dynasty style of the 13th–14th centuries, though it could have been made after that time. The head of the statue is egg-shaped, which indicates its origin in the Sukhothai period.
Itinerary
Arrive at Bangkok airport & transfer to Pattaya.
Upon arrival in Pattaya, transfer to a hotel for check in then free at leisure.
(2PM – Thailand Time Standard check-in).
Overnight stay in Pattaya
Morning breakfast at hotel. Proceed for coral island trip by speed boat with lunch on join tour basis. (on the way to island, stop at sea platform and enjoy watersports at your own expense) and upon reaching island beach you will be free to stroll around or swim and in the afternoon transfer back to the hotel then free at leisure.
Overnight stay in Pattaya.
Morning breakfast at hotel.
09.00 Hrs: Transfer from Pattaya Hotel to Bangkok. Upon arrival in Bangkok, proceed for sightseeing of the temple (Golden Buddha & Mini Sleeping Buddha Temple) & city tour on a private basis with guide and transfer + gems gallery visits. Transfer to the hotel for check in then free at leisure.
17.00 Hrs: Proceed for dinner cruise on Chao Phraya River with international buffet + live music and private transfer.
21.00 Hrs: Transfer back to hotel.
